MICHELE ACHILLE
PRINTED PATTERNED FABRICS AND HAND-QUILTED QUILTS
Every day, every season, we try to make garments that fit perfectly, cutting them from the best materials available, and this is what we did with Michele Achille. He contacted us because he wanted to use fabrics printed with patterns he designed himself, and he needed these patterns to be positioned in an original way on his garments. said! done! After creating the sewing pattern, we drew a rendering of it so that he could choose where and how to place the patterns on his garments. Then we estimated an average fabric consumption so that he could order the fabric and have it printed without waste.
As soon as the fabric arrived here, we set to work cutting the garments in all sizes and making sure that each garment looked the same, so as not to lose the original look that the designer had chosen in the 3D design phase. We also had to do a lot of work on the quilts. Not everyone knows that quilting machines can make shapes of a maximum of 10 square centimetres, whereas the diamond shapes of Michele Achille’s quilts are over 40 square centimetres , this means that each rhombus is hand-marked chalk thanks to a network of templates created by us.
In short, it was an intense few months to create the new collection, each garment in its own way was difficult to make, but in the end the result was fantastic.
We finished our work for Michele Achille by shooting all the products we made for his ecom www.micheleachille.it and supplying him with photo and video content for his blog where we documented the entire production phase done in Italy.
