Masterhood: Bridging Tradition and Innovation in Italian Fashion Design
Our History
Masterhood is an Italian fashion company that produces ready-to-wear and haute couture clothing made in Italy for men and women. Our fashion design studio was founded in 2017 by Cosimo Martucci in Martina Franca, a town in southern Italy, when we alredy had more than 15 years of experience in the cad pattern making, grading, consultation, sample making and fitting, that allowed us to work hand in hand with some of the most demanding designers.
We focus on outerwear, blazers, and trousers. Nevertheless, having acquired the necessary expertise, we can manufacture other kinds of clothing as well, including shirts, t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, bags, or embroidery. We take detailed care of every step. Our service begins from the initial design phase to the actual manufacturing step thanks to an artisanal method passed down over the years through many generations.
Since 2023, in addition to offering garment creation services, we have also been working in the field of video and photo content creation, giving our customers the opportunity to tell the story of their work with editorials, production photos and still life for e-commerce.
From Mischievous Child to Fashion Totem: The Rise of Cosimo Martucci in Italian Design
Cosimo Martucci
Was born in 1991 in Apulia, in Martina Franca, the epicentre of Italian tailoring. Already as a child, he showed that he was familiar with rulers and pencils. When he was 14, his father ordered him to go to work with him because he was too mischievous to stay at home in the summer, so he got a summer job side by side with him as a fashion designer.
Having realised that this was his path, he decided to abandon his studies as a surveyor to pursue a degree in fashion design.
By the age of 22, she was already the head of the company’s design studio, which had more than 100 employees and worked with major brands such as Aquascutum, Filippa K and MaxMara.
At the age of 26, the company closed its doors and he chose to strike out on his own, opening his own mass-production clothing company.
After registering the Masterhood brand, he launched this website, where you can start a collaboration and find some of his designs, in the shop section, produced to order using the brand’s typical craftsmanship method.
